Science of Diving Specialty

The SSI Science of Diving specialty gives you an in-depth understanding of the principles that underpin every dive you make, from the physics of pressure and buoyancy to the physiology of breathing underwater and the science of decompression. The course is entirely theory based and completed online via MySSI, so you can study at your own pace from anywhere in the world. It is a required qualification for most SSI professional programmes, and completing it puts you halfway to your SSI Divemaster rating. An essential step for any diver serious about taking their diving further.
