Our spectacular summer sightings – share the love!
This Summer we’ve witnessed several of our guests literally dancing for joy underwater. What are we talking about? Very lucky close hammerhead encounters on the north side of Jackson Reef, whale sharks in Ras Mohamed National Park, several manta ray sightings, white tip sharks, feathertail rays, eagle rays, schools of snappers, batfish, unicorn fish, tuna, giant trevallies and barracuda! Not forgetting an impressive number of turtles, sometimes dating. Even if you’re stuck at home or work as you read, you can share the joy of our spectacular summer by following us on Facebook for daily news of our latest sightings, photos and videos posted by our guests and guides. We love diving!
Camel supports Debris Month of Action in September
Camel Dive Club's clean up tradition will perform one of its highlights this September! Throughout the month we will lead the Project Aware Debris Month of Action by inviting our guests to join us in ensuring our reefs remain debris-free. All volunteers will be supplied with gloves and bags and our instructors will be there to assist in completing data cards. Debris Month of Action is a regular eco-campaign promoted by Project AWARE which combines underwater cleanups with critical data collection regarding debris issues beneath the surface. Help us to keep Sharm’s reefs in top condition for diving!
PHOTOS: explore Jackfish Alley
This month our resident photographer Adolfo Maciocco explores the beauty of Jackfish Alley, one of the best dive sites in Ras Mohamed National Park.
Also known as Stingray Alley, Jackfish Alley is a favourite spot for Red Sea addicts. This dive usually begins with a swim through a shallow cave at 5 metres. Sunlight filtering through a slit in the cave’s roof creates an atmospheric contrast with the dark blue water inside. The sandy passage at the exit of the cave is a true underwater paradise where you can see trevally, stingrays, barracuda and tuna. At about 18 metres, you can’t miss the famous pinnacle with its abundance of glassfish. Jackfish Alley is ideal for all levels of divers, including tec lovers, as well as for snorkelers. Don’t miss it on your next diving holiday in Sharm!
