On 17 April our instructors Cath and Julz, plus guests Chloe Hughes, Nick Pinnock and Spiderman joined a desert clean-up organized by local group Clean Sharm. They joined almost 150 residents, guests and staff from local hotels and dive centres who had volunteered for the event. The clean-up took place in the desert behind the Rowayset district of Sharm El Sheikh. Collecting rubbish is important in this area, since it lies between the mountains and the sandy plain leading to Naama Bay, so rubbish is easily blown into the sea by desert winds. Well done to everyone who particpated. Thanks to Chloe for this picture.
