Protection in case of airline collapse
We do not sell flights, so you must book your flights to and from Sharm el Sheikh separately. If you buy your flight directly from the airline, in most cases you will not be protected if your airline goes out of business and many standard travel insurance policies do not cover airline failure. However getting cover for airline failure is easy and cheap.
Supplier failure insurance
We recommend supplier failure insurance. All EU residents are eligible to apply. This insurance covers you for costs up to £5,000 (approximately €6,400) resulting from airline failure, including repatriation. Cover for travel to Egypt costs from £4.00 (approximately €6) for single trip insurance, or £8.00 (approximately €10.00) for annual/multi-trip insurance. This type of policy is not a substitute for full travel insurance.
